Georgina Murphy PhD
Georgina is a Senior Investment Manager for the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), a sovereign development fund with a unique mandate to invest on a commercial basis in a manner designed to support economic activity and employment in Ireland. Georgina leads life science investment for the ISIF, covering Limited Partnership commitments to a portfolio of life science venture funds and direct equity investment, where ISIF seeks to provide patient capital to scaling Irish businesses.
Georgina has extensive experience in the commercialisation of innovative technologies and has worked for Enterprise Ireland, private Life Science companies and Research Institutions, including Dublin City University and Partners Healthcare in Boston, where she led technology licensing, co-development deals and spin-out company creation. Prior to joining the ISIF, Georgina led life science investment for the University Bridge Fund at Atlantic Bridge, investing in early-stage companies leveraging world class research from Irish third-level institutions and universities.
Georgina holds hold a BSc in Pharmacology and a PhD in Neuropharmacology. She has also completed a Diploma in Intellectual Property and Technology Law and the Chartered Director Programme at the Institute of Directors Ireland.
